Check out some of my contributions to Archive of Our Own:
Rogue Leader - A Star Wars Story (A Prequel to Rogue One): Years before the events of Rogue One, Senator Mon Mothma becomes embroiled in a dangerous plot as she and Bail Organa prepare to launch their Rebellion against the newly-formed Empire. A Zahn-style action-adventure starring Mon Mothma herself!
The Clone Wars are over. The Old Republic is no more. In its place has risen the first Galactic Empire, with Chancellor Palpatine positioned at its head. But as the newly-christened Emperor begins to consolidate his power, there are some in the Imperial Senate who grow uneasy at the increasing incidents of unrest across the galaxy. At their forefront is Mon Mothma, the young Senator from Chandrila who has become the vocal head of the anti-Imperialist movement. Soon Mon Mothma and her supporters will have to make a choice: continue to trust in a faltering democracy to which they have dedicated their lives, or take the first steps toward armed resistance.
It may not be long before the Age of Empire is replaced by an Age of Rebellion.
Star Wars - Tales from the Thrawn Campaign: 30 YEARS OF THRAWN! To celebrate the anniversary of Heir to the Empire and the release of Thrawn Ascendancy, I present: Tales from the Thrawn Campaign. In the vein of Shadows of the Empire and Clone Wars, Tales chronicles the missing month between Dark Force Rising and The Last Command, detailing the adventures of Luke, Han, and Leia as they scramble to stop Thrawn’s onslaught:
The Katana battle is over. While Republic forces won the day, it is a hollow victory—the Empire has outraced them to the famous fleet, and the Dreadnaughts are now under Thrawn’s command. Worse yet, the battle’s aftermath revealed the lynchpin of his strategy for victory: clone soldiers, a limitless supply to man his new armada.
On Coruscant, Leia attempts to shore up the Republic’s diplomatic front while awaiting the birth of her Jedi twins. Meanwhile, Luke and Han must undertake a series of dangerous missions behind enemy lines, hoping to slow Thrawn’s war machine. Their ultimate goal: discover the source of his clone army—and destroy it.
Over it all like a shadow hangs the Dark Jedi C’baoth, self-declared Heir to the Empire, newly risen in power, and obsessed with claiming Leia’s twins for himself…to mold in his own insane image!
In which I reimagine famous scenes from book and film:
Star Wars - Escape from Geonosis: On the planet Geonosis, Jedi Knight Obi-wan Kenobi discovers a terrible secret: the Confederacy of Independent Systems, led by the enigmatic Count Dooku, have allied themselves with the Geonosians—and constructed an immense droid army intended to overwhelm the Republic’s forces and secure their secession. When he is captured by Dooku’s patrols and sentenced to death, Obi-wan must leverage a familiar strategy in order to escape. A reimagining of the arena battle from Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones.
Michael Crichton’s Sphere - The Squid: In the middle of the South Pacific, a group of American scientists is dispatched a thousand feet below the surface to investigate the remains of a huge spaceship discovered on the ocean floor. Among the many mysteries they unlock within is an alien artifact that begins bestowing strange powers upon the crew, including the ability to manifest their thoughts into reality. But when some of those manifestations become more than they can handle, the remaining scientists will have to learn to master their minds if they hope to survive. A reimagining of the squid scene from Sphere.
HeroQuest - Gandalf Adventures: A collection of Hobbit/Lord of the Rings-themed custom character heroes for the 1989 fantasy tabletop game, HeroQuest.
Super Star Wars - Han Solo Adventures: One of my favorite games as a child was Super Star Wars for the SNES. When the trilogy concluded with Super Return of the Jedi, I had imagined a logical follow-up would be a spinoff featuring the adventures of Han and Chewbacca as they took on various smuggling contracts and assignments for the Rebellion. "Super Solo" highlights some potential ideas, by re-envisioning the context of previous SNES levels.
Warcraft II - Heroes for the Horde: A twelve-mission expansion campaign for the 1995 real-time strategy game from Blizzard Entertainment, Warcraft II — Tides of Darkness. Includes all mission map files and a campaign manual.
The Last of Us - Without End: This is a hypothetical draft of my story treatment for a sequel to one of the most popular “zombie apocalypse” games of all time—The Last of Us, by Naughty Dog for the PlayStation 3. The majority of this script was compiled in 2015 before the actual sequel The Last of Us Part II was officially announced, and any similarities with that game—of which there are several—are truly and purely coincidental.
